We have made claim to three seperate Land Commission Awards granted during the Mahele.  These very large awards were made to 3 seperate individuals.  Our claims do not include any kuleana awards made along the valley floors of Honolua or Honokohau. Honokahua was awarded to one individual and had no kuleana awards.

In some instances because of the drop parcel practice some kuleana may have become part of these larger awards. We believe these lands should be returned to the orignal awardees.

Portions of these lands may have been exchanged and were it is feasible and sensible to recover these lands we will. It is also possible that poritons of these lands have been entered into agreements with either governement or private agencies and are neccesary for the public welfare, we are open to continuing these.

Each area involved presents a different set of circumstances there fore we thought it best to tell the story of each area seperately.

The areas involved are Honokahua, Honolua and Honokohau.
